Magnolia Pop Up Card

I made this card using a Magnolia Stamp I had won from Katie Tate. I colored her with Design Spectra colorpencils. I used a little Glossy Accents on her straberries. The papers are from Stampin Up I think. The inside stamp is from Heidi Grace. I colored it with gel pens. I'm not sure if you can see the distress around the edges. I didn't want to do too much so I stuck with the outside of the card. I also distressed the sentiment. I used a sketch from Karin's Rak exchange on PCP. I'm sorry about the pictures coming up like this. I'm using a different computer right now and it won't let me size it.

Magnolia-licious Highlights Blog Challenge. The challenge over there was a Pop Up card challenge. The pop up element is my sentiment that says Sending Sunshine.

I also made this card for Alota Rubber Stamps Challenge: Distress

Supplies:
Stamp: Magnolia Straberry
Paper: Stampin Up, Georgia Pacific CS
Medium: Memories Black ink, Spectra Design colorepencils
Misc: ribbons, buttons, prima flowers, punched flower, Fiskars Gel Pen

Design Dollies Challenges

This is my first time at a Design Dollie Challenge. I must say it was really fun. I decided to challenge myself and combine all three of their challenges. There was a:

1. sketch challenge,

2. a color combo challenge (orange, brown, and a neutral which I chose white), and

3. a receipe (three circles, the color green, 2 different kinds of ribbons, and inked edges). The three circles are the buttons, the color green came from the ribbon and a green button, there were 2 kinds of different ribbons, one green and the other was a red with circles, and I inked the edges of the brown paper.

I had a blast with this challenge. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I loved it.

Supplies:

Stamp: letters from Martha Stewart
Paper: Brown cs from Michales, Orange embossed paper is from the Paper Company
Ink: Memories Black
Misc: Ribbons, buttons

GDT LO for Tuesday Taggers

Hi Everyone, this week at Tuesday Taggers our theme is Gettin Messy Hands. Show us your project and your messy hands.

My take on our theme is: I did a layout using my son's feet. I colored his feet with red acrylic paint and stamped it on Georgia Pacific white paper. I then cut around it, added my son's picture, and a sentiment by Creative Expressions that says "The smallest wonders bring the greatest joys". It was part of a Butterfly stamp set I won from PartiCraft. I added a ribbon with flowers to the sentiment. I don't know who the pp is from since I got it as part of a prize.

I'm entering this into:

ABC: O is for one paper

Receipe:

Sentiment: from Butterfly 1 set by Creative Expressions
Medium: Red Acrylic paint, Memories Black Ink, Memories Sand Ink
Paper: Georgia Pacific White 110lbs, unknown pp.
Misc: paper flowers

Part of Digi Kitty DT and Max's Status

Hi Everyone,

Whew!!! I'm so excited about this that I haven't had the time to tell you all since my little boy was sick. I'm a new DT for Digi Kitty. Woo hoo...I'm so excited to be working with some amazing gals. Please pop over to Digi Kitty's blog for a challenge that runs every other Monday. We have a freebie for you so get your boots over there and join our challenge.

Ok, now for Max's status, whew wee, am I happy that he doesn't have strep. I guess he had a slight fever and was all fussy. But you know, the funny thing is that I had the strep. Isn't that something. I had a feeling I had it and was scared that I gave it to him but no, thank goodness he didn't get it. Well, now, as you know, you have to option when you are positive for a strep test, you can either take pills twice a day for ten days or take this one shot. Which do you think I took, drum roll please, I took the one shot....and boy was it PAINFUL. Oh, if I had knew, I would have taken those dang pills. LOL. I came out of that office telling Max's dad that I got a shot close to my bun and boy was he laughing. I was walking funny and all too. I also had to stay an extra 20 mins just to see if I had any allergic reactions. Oh, if they had told me that before. Just a heads up for you if you ever need the "one shot" of cure for strep.

Oh, forgot to mention that I've been trying to change my layout so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to help me out. As you can see, from my left sidebar, my blinkies for Digi Kitty looks funny. I followed instructions from a website but it looks too close to my posts.

Have a Blessed Day Peeps.

Max is sick...

Hi Everyone,

I'm probably not gonna be able to do much in the coming week. My little boy is sick. I think he might have strep throat. I'm taking him to the doctors tomorrow. After I take him to see the doctors I will let you all know what's going on. I hope it's nothing serious.

:(

Moving Card 2 for Sir Stampalot Moving Challenge

So for this second entry in Sir Stampalot's Moving Challenge at Floral Fantasies, I did a gift tag with a moving flower charm. The stamp I used was a sunflower or flower by Annette Allen Watkins. I masked it to make the other two. I drew stems and colored the flower in Design Spectracolor colored pencils. I kept this gift tag really simple because I didn't want to make it too loud. The sentiment says "For you", I wrote this with Fiskars glitter gel pen.

You can find Sir Stampalot's Store here

Stamp: Flower by Annette Allen Watkins

Moving Card for Sir Stampalot Challenge

I made this framed picture art for Sir Stampalot's Moving Challenge. You can find Sir Stampalot's store HERE.

I made this framed picture art(is that what they call it??) using a stamp I won from Sally's. The stamp is from Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co. I stamped the background on watercolor paper and used Memories ink. I used Staedtler Watercolor crayons to create the sunset and water. I also colored the sail boat with the crayons( this is the 12 pk comes in tin case). I wrote 'memories' on the top in Fiskars glitter gel pen in dark blue but you can't see it. I even tried to do an upclose picture but it didn't show it so I decided not to post that picture. I forgot to mention that I used pop dots to do a pop up look but I don't know if you can tell.

I had fun doing this challenge but I must say I was a 'challenge'. I'm surprised I didn't make a card. Oh well, had a blast making it.

Supplies:
Stamp: Sailboat from Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co.
Sentiment: my own
Medium: Memories Ink in Black, Staedtler Watercolor Crayons, Fiskars Gel Pen

I had tons of fun making this card. My little niece inspired me. This stamp is called Bear Hug from Wags n' Whisker. I colored her using watercolor crayons. Her skin was colored with Design Spectracolor colored pencil in Light Salmon. I colored her bear in glitter brown gel pen by Fiskars. I added some glitter stickle on her wings. I used blossom copic atyou on the bear's nose. I colored the inside parts of the bear Light Salmon. Lastly, I added a silk flower, prima flower, and a metal flower brad.
