Doodletales Card

This week I made a birthday card using Chubby Fish. As you can tell I love that fish, he/she is so stinkin' cute!!! Making this card was a bit tricky. I don't have one of those stampamajig thingie to align my stamping so I finally realized that I had to stamp two fishes then go around them to make sure they matched. I used post it notes to draw my line so that I wouldn't stamp over any white parts. After I had stamped the fish the way I liked, I colored them with pastel copic markers. I used the star punch from SU and a sentiment from PaperTrey and stamped that in the star I had punched out.

Supplies:
Stamp: Chubby Fish by Doodletales
Misc: copic markers, SU star punch, PaperTrey sentiment, white ribbon

Doodletales Project

Max loves playing with stuff on our fridge so for Thanksgiving week I made some magnets using Chubby Fish from
Doodletales Etsy. I found these huge flat glass beads from the $1 store and colored Chubby Fish in light purple, light blue, and light pink using copic markers. I used glossy accents to stick on the fish and trimmed around it. Lastly, I had some flat magnets (found at Walmart) and stuck those on the back of the glass beads. Easy peasy!!

Supplies:
Stamp: Chubby Fish by Doodletales
Paper: GP 110lbs
Misc: glossy accents, copic markers, magnet, flat glass beads

Doodletales DT Creation

My creation for last week as a member of Doodletales DT were some 3x3 cards. The stamp I used was Chubby Fish. Ain't he a cutie!!!! I colored Chubby with copics and used copic spica glitter pens for a little sparkle then I cut them out and popped them with dimensionals. You can't really see the sparkle in them besides on the green one but they all are sparkly. You just can't see it in the picture. I really did try to take a good picture but this was the best I got
:( I kept the 3x3 cards very simple (lots of whites).

Also, to let everyone know, Ivan, my boss and the creator of Doodletales can custom design anything for you. Pop him an email and let him know what you want. Here is an example of what he made for a customer. So cute!!

Supplies:
Stamp: Chubby Fish-Doodletales
Paper: GP 110lbs
Misc: copic, copic atyou spica, pop dot

Doodletales Design Team

Hi Everyone,

After a long long break I am back!!!!! I got accepted as part of the design team for Doodletales. I'm so excited!!! Doodletales is a rubber stamp company from Malaysia and they are made by a guy, Ivan San. You can purchase Doodletales stamps from Ivan's etsy store here. He has very cool and cute stamps plus new ones for Christmas!!!!!

My first DT creation is a tag. I kept it rather simple (I'm so into simple right now). The stamp I used from Doodletales is Mini Zombie. They are so cute!! The sentiment says "Did I scare you?" and is part of a set from The Angel Company. When I saw the stamp I initially wanted a Happy Halloween sentiment but I figure it looks more like he is trying to scare her, lol. I colored them with prisma colored pencil in orange and green. The orange pattern paper and flower is from my SS on SCS. The kraft paper is from Michaels.

Now, go over to Doodletales and take a look and buy some for yourself. You won't be disappointed!!!

Supplies:
stamp: Mini Zombies by Doodletales
Paper: unknown, kraft by Michaels
Medium: prisma colored pencils
Misc: SU large oval, small oval, and scallop oval punch. Sizzix tag die, black ribbon, felt flower, brad.

The first one is an alphabet die (forgot what its called, threw away the box) and the second one is a birthday set. The 'happy birthday' letters are from the alphabet set and the party hat with the twine is from the birthday set. I added a yellow button and colored the letters with gold lame smooch. icopic Translucent coloring challenge

This card was made for a swap I'm on from SCS. I'm entering it for icopic's Translucent coloring challenge. I bought this stamp from a garage sale last year and it's my first time using it. I wasn't too sure how to color the image so I looked at the image that came with the stamp as my guide. I like to keep my cards simple just in case I want to add something later but in this case I like it just the way it is. I was looking for a sentiment but could not find one.

The picture shows a bridge where you could walk across and boy I must say it was SCAAAAAAAARY!!! I did not cross that dang bridge, it was sooooo wiggly, like it was going to break.

Anyhoo, the stamp set I used is from CTMH. I forgot what the set is called.

Tag

This week's challenge at Piece's of Ali n' Me Friday Die Cut Challenge was to make a tag. I love love making tags so I made this tag using a Sizzix tag die that had not been used for awhile. The paper is from October Afternoon Ducks in a row. I love this pink but it was hard to embellish with. I could not, for the love of me, find the right ribbon to use so I used a string. I know, lame, but I love the look. The sentiment says "wishing you the sweetest things".

Paper Cupcakes Challenge: Fabric & Stitching

This weeks challenge at Paper Cupcakes is set by Chelsea Barnes which is to add Fabric & Stitching to your project. Well, I did a boo boo. I thought we picked which one we wanted to do but the challenge called for both fabric and stitching; I only did fabric, but I did stitch my flower together, does that count????? Lol.... Ok, so I used Mandelina. She's too cute. I made this tag for my nieces birthday. Her fave color is green so I kept the tag green. I colored Mandelina with colored pencils. I decided not to use gamsol this time. Her skin is colored with copics E00, E02, and RV21. I added stickle to her wings. The fabric flower was made from a piece that my mom gave me. I read that spellbinders can cut fabric so I used my Petite Scallop circle die. Unfortunately, it did not cut all the way thru so I cut the rest with my scissor. I had to cut five pieces to make the flower. I kept the flower together with a flower brad and added a green pearl. I punched the bottom of the tag with a punch from EK Success.

Card for Scrapmaster's Paradise & Company Stamps DT Call

I made this tag for the DT call at Scrapmaster's Paradise & Company. The DT call required a new project using blue. I used Viviene from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I colored her with colored pencils. This time around I decided not to use gamsol. I put some stickle in her feathers to make her shine. The pp is from Graphic45 and the cs is Recollections. I added trim and ribbon. I like how it turned out. I was going to give it to my sister for her birthday but am not sure now.

What's so cool about SP & Company Stamps is that besides having stamps that are versatile and cute, they have stamp kits!!!!! How cool is that! Digital stamps are also in the store just in case you prefer going that route.

Lastly, I added two silk flowers, a rhinestone, and a stamp from CTMH.

Your Next Stamp: Make It Sparkle Challenge Card

I made this card using Day Dream Fhiona from Your Next Stamp. I paper pieced her using MME's Fine & Dandy dp. I colored her hair with prisma and gamsol, her skin with copics, and added stickle to her hair bow and shoes. As you can see, the prisma and gamsol is not working as good as I thought it would. You can still see the lines but it's way cheaper then copics. The sentiment came with the stamp set.

Paper CupCakes Vintage Challenge Time!!!!

This week at Paper CupCakes, the challenge set by Carol West is vintage tag or card using the Doodle Flower 4 image that Nina gave us. I colored the flower w/ prisma colored pencils and blended w/ gamsol. I love Graphic 45 papers for vintage so I found a double sided dp from Archiver's. I cut a strip of paper 3x4, used my SU ticket punch to punch the corners, used the SU punch cute and curly, and distressed it using my Tim Holtz distresser and using a dabber, added versamagic to distress the tag. I punched a hole thru the tag and tied it w/ a MayArts ribbon. I added thickers and a piece of American Crafts ribbon. The piece hanging at the bottom of the tag is the other side of the dp. I simply teared a strip and folded it using scor tape.

Birthday Card

I made this birthday card using Fairy Fhiona that I had won last year. She is really cute. I love how she isn't detailed and fun to color. I followed the sketch from The Beary Scrap Design & Challenge Blog challenge 21.

I kept this card plain and simply. I'm lovin' white right now so I decided to keep her on white and not use any dp. I cut her using the square spellbinder and colored her using gamsol (whoopie!!!) which I finally found at one of the craft store in Brooklyn Park thanks to my sil Hua :-) I must say, it's really fun coloring with gamsol. I think I like it more than copics. I added stickle to her wings to make her shiny.

Just so you crafters know, The Beary Scrap is having a HUGE HUGE birthday celebration and a HUGE HUGE prize giveaway, so hope on over and join the fun. There are three chances to win, so hurry over.

I'm entering her into the challenges at The Beary Scrap Design & Challenge Blog and Your Next Stamp Feeling Blue challenge.

Claudia & Company Challenge 72-Recipe

For this weeks challenge over at Claudia & Company, it's a Recipe Challenge: 2 dp, 3 buttons, 1 image, and 1 trim. I wasn't really sure what counts as a trim. Does a ribbon count as a trim?? So I used this twine like ribbon/trim. My younger sister's birthday is coming up so I thought this would be the perfect card for her.

I forgot to mention last time that I am applying for the DT at Claudia & Company. I've been a fan ever since their superb service and all the cool items they offer.

Supplies:

Stamp: OA from TGF, SU So Many Sayings
Paper: Basic Grey, Dusty Darango SU(??)
Ink: Memento Black, copic markers, glitter pen
Misc: ribbon, button, trim

MFT Sketch Challenge 4

I made this card for MFT's Sketch Challenge 4. I love the simplicity of this sketch. You can do so much with it. For the sketch I used MFT's Die-Namics Polka Dot Greetings Die and Stamp Set Duo. I really hadn't used it yet so when I saw the sketch and my sister asked me to make a thank you card, this was the perfect chance. I love the card. I really don't want to give it to my sister anymore.
